Nowadays, neighbors, tourists and visitors enjoy, on their walks through Sanguesa / Zangoza, monuments that in this center have resisted natural elements, human conflicts and the temporal becoming, such as the Portal of Carajeas, the Church of Santa María la Real and the Church of Santiago, the Church of San Salvador, the Convent of San Francisco, numerous palaces among which stand out the one of Ongay-Vallesantoro and the Castle of the Prince of Viana, the surroundings of the Convent of the Carmen, etc. All of them form an interesting ensemble, whose value has been officially recognized by the Prince of Viana Institution of the Government of Navarre. In particular, Decree 86/200, dated February 21, grants this distinction, to the Old Center of Sangüesa / Zangoza with category of Historical Set. And, as it is collected, it refers to the space that is delimited as follows: "taking as a starting point the bridge of entry to the city, on the left following the margin of the river, cross the plot 808 until you reach Avenida Principe from Viana, continuing through it until its intersection with the Avenue of Aragon, continue through this until the crossing with the crossing of Balate, crosses the street San Sebastián and continues by the street Sancho Garcés, until its intersection with the Walk of Cantolagua, by this until the river, following the margin until arriving at the initial point.

Sangüesa / Zangoza brings together one of the richest heritages of cultural interest of the Foral Community.

A historical center and a town center also built on the banks of the Aragon River which, in its route (Middle Section), is included in the Natura 2000 Network as a LIC because of its high ecological value.
